Four thousand years later, the Seal activates. No one removed it from containment. No one touched it. In a Geneva vault, surrounded by eleven other relics, it simply woke up and began to do what it was made to do.
The Seal does not target. It dissolves agreements, all of them, and it cannot distinguish between the contract that kept a child enslaved and the arrangements that keep the world from burning. You cannot contain an artifact that is dissolving the protocols designed to contain it, and you cannot hold a team together when the Seal is quietly working on the agreements that constitute the team itself.
